The opening of the Homburger Wiesn is always a special evening and the whole city looks forward to a huge party:
BAYERNMÄN is a professional band from northern Bavaria, consisting of 5 musicians and a magical singer. This high musical level coupled with many years of stage experience has made the band one of the top bands in the party and Oktoberfest scene.
Friendly musicians who perform on stage with passion and fun, the latest equipment and a lot of skill create a mix that is simply inspiring!

Hailing from Northern Bavaria, the Würzbuam are one of Germany's most successful party bands. For the little Oktoberfest visitors, there are plenty of game stations in the back part of the large festival tent with bouncy castles, airbrush tattoos, face painting, balloon modelling and much more, while the older Oktoberfest visitors can relax and chat in the festival tent.

Krachleder is not just a band. Krachleder is a brand. To be more precise: THE brand when it comes to successful events with the right mix of party music. The nine-person formation from the Palatinate appears to be traditionally dressed in lederhosen, but anyone expecting brass music from times long past at a Krachleder show is completely wrong!
The guys from the Palatinate heat up their audience with everything a good party needs. Rock, pop, electro, hip hop, hits - from current charts - to the best that music history has to offer over the last four decades, to party anthems by Deichkind and Avicii. The band is musically unique thanks to its special sound. Krachleder relies on unique elements such as the rattling accordion sound and a crisp brass section.

1:30 pm: Large traditional parade (starting at Enklerplatz)
As in previous years, the parade route runs from Enklerplatz across Talstrasse over the bridge at the Forum directly to the festival tent. A large number of clubs, music and dance groups, fanfare bands, carriages and the entire Bliestal shooting club will be marching in the 13th parade of the 18th Homburger Wiesn.
approx. 2:00 pm: Arrival of the parade in front of the Wiesn tent with a large cannon shooting
Immediately afterwards, all spectators and participants in the parade can celebrate at the big afternoon party and attend the coronation of the new shooting kings. In addition, a great, varied and entertaining stage program will be offered all afternoon.
